Insight:

I found this idea when I was hunting for potential Mac apps to build (someone asked me ideas for Mac apps after my starter story interview last week)

Time tracking is powerful use case for Mac Apps.

First for personal productivity, just to get a sense of all the different things you spend your time on.

But also for professional work when you’re billing clients and charging by the hour.

(Check this time tracking for lawyers page)

That’s when I found several apps solving both the problems.

Apps like Timebro (now Memtime), Clockk, Timemator etc.

There are even people searching reddit for for such apps.

If you’re starting out - build for personal productivity use cases. And as the app gets better, gradually move upmarket and solve professional use cases.

That’s it for today

See you on Saturday

Cheers

Ayush
